T7 HARNESS (ORIGINAL PARTS)
The T7 can be regarded as an improved T5. The T7 harness is constructed of layers of type X cotton webbing. which is 13/4" wide, 0.130 - 0.160" thick, 5OOO Ib tensile strength and has no color code. The most prominent feature is the single point release box with its round release button. T7s , like T5s came in a variety of colors and shades. The T7 pack tray grommets were finished in flat black or green. The T7 was slightly modified in 1948 by the addition of puckerbands (taschengurts) to the reserve skirt and became the T7A. The T7 soldiered on being gradually replaced by the T10 starting in 1952 and was completely phased out in November 1954..
